Park in the parking area for Norvin Green State Forest on Otterhole Road. Head out on the Otterhole Trail which will also be marked as the Highlands Trail. Cross Posts Brook at the Otterhole and continue on the trail to .6 miles and a trail junction with the Highlands Trail. Turn left and follow the Highlands Trail up the ridge to very nice viewpoint at .85 miles. The trail ducks around this viewpoint and continues along the ridge to Buck Mountain at about 1.22 miles. I continued to the end of the ridge at 1.5 miles to make sure I had the high point. Return the same trail to the parking area.
