From Pine Island, NY head south on the McAfee Glenwood Road and turn right on Glenwood Road. Drive southwest for about 4.0 miles and park on the left side of the road in a pulloff opposite Tall Timbers Road. This is a straight bushwhack so head south across a swampy area which is hard to negotiate after a rain. On the other side I walked up a rise and found a road which I followed for about .6 miles until it was obvious it would not go up but around the mountain. I turned north at this point and walked up to the ridge through some steep areas with some blowdown. I wandered around at the top and hit several high spots. I decided NOT to go back to the road and simply headed northwest off the summit. After working through some cliffs, I ended up back at the swamp at the place where I had come out. Walk back through the swamp to your car.
