This store stocks and ever-increasing variety of clothing, equipment and camping gear. The also carry some casual clothing, maps, books, and toys for the kids. You will find hand-picked brands such as Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, Osprey, Asolo, Merrell, Tubbs, MSR, Kelty, Lole, Teko, Dahlgren, and Camelback, just to name a few.

They will be renting all kinds of hiking and camping equipment including snowshoes at very reasonable rates.

On-line Stores

I have found the following sites to have a wide variety of items with most being in stock and ready to ship the next day. Most clearly indicate items that are out of stock and whether or not they can be backordered. Several provide free shipping depending on the amount you spend. All have good prices on selected items. Not all carry all brands. The better the prices the more limited the selection of colors and sizes. Many of the best sales are on last year's style or on closeouts for this year.

One of the MOST eclectic hiking websites. Not too many sales but BIG discounts on a few items. Interesting stories and plots online. Obvious that most of these people regularly are outdoors or want to be!

A LARGE selection of items in every category. The site is divided into items at regular prices and the outlet with items at vastly reduced prices. REI has a line of clothing and packs of their own. These items are highly rated and many have won "best" awards". It is easy to order from the site and they ship quickly.
